 Aharbal to Kongwattan Trek

Aharbal to Kongwattan Trek

We began our journey by driving through the lovely towns of Pulwama and Lassipora. The roads, surrounded by blossoming orchards and traditional Kashmiri houses, provided an excellent preview to what was ahead. As we passed through Shopain, the surroundings changed completely, with gently sloped terrain, dense forests, and snow-capped peaks filling the landscape. This was the moment I understood i was about to start something truly remarkable.

Our trek began at Aharbal, which is known for its beautiful waterfall and pristine surroundings. As soon as I arrived, I was captivated by the natural beauty around us. The sound of the Aharbal stream tumbling over stones, along with the cool mountain breeze and tall pine trees, created a dreamlike atmosphere. Words fell short to express how breathtaking it was. With our backpacks ready and our spirits high, we set out from Aharbal. Every step took me deeper into Kashmir’s untouched nature. The routes led through pine forests, open valleys, and lush meadows. One of the most remarkable sights was the Aharbal stream flowing alongside. I was amazed by its crystal pure water, which sparkled in the sunlight. There were mountains where I just had to stop to soak it all in, it was nature at its purest form.

I found myself speechless not because no words could truly express the beauty that was around me.
