Day 1: Srinagar to Gulmarg
Pick-up & Arrival: Begin your journey with a scenic drive (approx. 1.5–2 hours) from Srinagar to Gulmarg via Tangmarg.​
Equipment Rental & Hotel Check-In: Upon arrival, get fitted for ski gear (skis, boots, helmet, outerwear) at an approved rental outlet, ensuring all personal equipment meets safety standards. Check into a hotel near the slopes and attend a welcome and safety orientation.​
Day 2: First Ski Lesson & Slope Practice
Morning: Introductory session with certified instructors; basics of wearing, fitting, and adjusting equipment, snowplough for speed control, and safe gliding.​
Afternoon: Practice on the Baby Slope at the base area (gentle incline, ideal for first-timers). Focus on balance, gliding, and simple turns, with close supervision and regular breaks for feedback.​
Day 3: Skill Refinement & Chairlift Familiarization
Morning: Advance to Highland Park Slope or Slope 85 (moderate incline). Refine snowplough turns, attempt stem turns and controlled stops.​
Afternoon: Learn how to use surface lifts and chairlifts; essential safety and etiquette, how to embark/disembark, and basic mountain navigation.​
Evening: Group review and practical quiz on lift and slope safety.
Day 4: Powder & Off-Piste Techniques
Morning: Practice on intermediate slopes, focusing on stance, turns, and adapting to variable snow.
Afternoon: Take a specialized session on powder skiing and introductory off-piste techniques, emphasizing avalanche safety (with beacon demo) and route selection for non-groomed terrain. Always under instructor supervision.​
Day 5: Advanced Techniques and Moguls
Morning: Practice on intermediate-to-advanced runs, focusing on carving and dynamic turns.​
Afternoon: Introduction to mogul skiing on suitable terrain. Learn advanced body movements, safe technique for bumps, and balance drills.​
Optional: For advanced participants, a supervised backcountry tour (if group skill allows) with mandatory avalanche briefing.​
Day 6: Graduation and Personal Best
Final Practice: Ski your choice of runs, attempting more difficult slopes under instructor guidance. Opportunity to try the Phase 1 run if skill level is sufficient (4 km, significant elevation drop).​
Celebration: Graduates receive certificates. Enjoy a celebration meal with your group, commemorating achievements and sharing experiences.​
Day 7: Gulmarg to Srinagar
Check-Out & Return: After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Transfer back to Srinagar, wrapping up your ski journey.​
